There is a fascinating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which casino gaming is not allowed. Eight gambling halls are anchored in a generally small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect destination, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling locations in Asia. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred one armed bandits and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight casinos in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational vacation and hotel compound that contains many amenities on top of the gambling den, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and 88 gaming tables.
