The complete number of Kyrgyzstan gambling halls is a fact in some dispute. As information from this state, out in the very most central part of Central Asia, often is difficult to achieve, this might not be all that difficult to believe. The country, in common with nearly all of the ex-USSR, has experienced something of a rapid adjustment to free-enterprise economy. The Wild East, you could say, to allude to the lawless circumstances of the Wild West a century and a half ago.

Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls are honestly worth going to, therefore, as a bit of social research, to see chips being wagered as a type of collective one-upmanship, the apparent consumption that Thorstein Veblen talked about in 19th century u.s.a..
